Summary:

The current thesis concentrates on Chitosan blend films. Two groups of natural polymers were chosen namely polysaccharides such as Agarose, Starch and Cellulose; the other group is Protein includes Collagen and Gelatin.  The studied blends include Chitosan as main material which is mixed with Collagen, Gelatin, Agarose, Starch and Cellulose with different ratios. The properties of the films were analyzed to see whether it is feasible using this film as wound healing cover. So that, the blended films were subjected to the following studies:

1.Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy FTIR

2.Mechanical properties

3.The surface morphology (atomic force microscopy AFM).
